ABOUT ME

Since getting in trouble for taking to my room all the luxurious fabrics I could lay my hands on as a child and drawing on every surface available (oops, sorry Mum!) I knew my future was a creative one. I started by studying art but had a yearning for fashion design, which I pursued through many years at university in my home country of England.

During my years at university in London I learnt how to express myself through a combination of fashion and art, which culminated in designing and making garments (or wearable art) for pop videos. I had the pleasure of designing and producing clothes for Tina Turner, Kylie Minogue, Skunk Anansie to name a few. Then I started expanding and designed accessories and branding for prestigious brands including AC Cars, Clintons Cards, Pears Company, John Lewis etc. Even a bit of computer game character design. I later moved to America and started an accessory brand which was sold to more than 600 stores globally. 

All of this was so fun, but sooooo exhausting, now I realise that this diverse background and an avid love of reading has led me to the real career of my dreams. I get to read amazing books, be inspired by them, illustrate them, and design all sorts of art, from character portraits, logo’s, chapter headers to merch and swag based on the actual story, see what I mean? A dream right!

Currently I live in Chicago and Italy with my fabulous family and crazy pets.
